Four-County Theft Ring Busted; ATVs and Motorcycles Stolen

Thanks to a cooperative effort between a number of law enforcement agencies in a four-county area, local authorities in Delaware County busted a multi-county theft ring responsible for $250,000 in stolen motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles.  Once stolen, the vehicles would be altered and then sold on the street.  Five men were placed under arrest and charged with several felonies for the alleged thefts of ATVs and Ninja motorcycles, some of which belonged to friends, from homes in Delaware, Chester, Montgomery , and Berks counties.  The alleged thieves received information about the locations of bikes from an employee of a shop in Upper Darby that sells and services high-end bikes.  Some of the bikes were even identified through Craigslist and eBay.  Thirteen of the vehicles have been recovered and returned to their owners or insurance companies
